ABBY Scott reckons customers will be only too happy to spend a penny at the Alexander Graham Bell pub in George Street.
The venue is one of three to have been honoured for the quality and standards of their toilets at the Loo of the Year Awards 2013.
The Alexander Graham Bell landed a platinum-star rating from inspectors, while fellow Wetherspoon pubs the The White Lady in St John’s Road and The Blacksmith’s Forge in Newmills Road, Dalkeith, landed gold ratings.
Paula Buckley, pub manager at The Alexander Graham Bell, said: “I am delighted with the award. Staff at the pub work hard to ensure the toilets are in first-class condition at all times and it is great that this has been recognised.”
