One of the main roads through Kirkliston has been partially closed after a lorry carrying a JCB collided with a motorway bridge.
The JCB was knocked off the lorry and onto the pavement after colliding with the bridge carrying the M9 over the B800, near where it meets the A89 by the Almond River.
The accident happened at around 8.40am on Thursday, resulting in the closure of the B800 northbound. The company that owns the vehicles is in the process of recovering them.
An inspection of the bridge will also be carried out by highway repair contractors Amey.
No one was injured in the accident.
