CAPITAL author JK Rowling has finally revealed plans for the long-awaited Harry Potter encyclopaedia.
Rowling revealed she is putting together an encyclopedia of all things related to the boy wizard, and any money raised will go to charity.
The 46-year-old announced the plans in the “frequently asked questions and rumours” section of her new Pottermore website.
She said: “For a long time I have been promising an encyclopedia of Harry’s world, and I have started work on this. It’s likely to be a time-consuming job but when finished I shall donate all royalties to charity.”
Pottermore is a new website offering fans the chance to explore the books and films, and to discover never-before-seen material by the author.
Four years ago, Rowling took a US publisher to court to stop its plans for a reference book, saying it constituted a “rip-off” of her work.
