TATTOO fans have now snapped up all the available tickets for the annual spectacle.

It is the 50th successive sold-out season for the Tattoo although some resale tickets may be available for performances until the end of the run on August 24.

More than 1,000 performers from the Middle East, Korea, New Zealand and Mexico as well as from across the United Kingdom feature in the show.

Tattoo Chief Executive and Producer, Brigadier David Allfrey said: “We have a great Show - with so many contributors - and it is wonderful that visitors to Edinburgh continue to see the event as a ‘must see’.

“I remain ever conscious that we must remain wholly authentic but at the same time look to be innovative. We design the show to deliver a strong sense of atmosphere that is both entertaining and inspiring.

“I also feel our success this year will be mirrored - even exceeded - by many others. The opportunities and offerings for visitors to Scotland are incomparable and we should be so proud of all that is being achieved.”
