CHILDREN at Greengables Nursery in Niddrie were among those to be treated to a visit from Santa’s grotto yesterday.

The festive figure arrived courtesy of the Evening News and Lothian Buses Christmas appeal, which was launched earlier this week.

The campaign aims to spread a little festive cheer to children across the Capital – especially those who find themselves in hospital at this time of year – and in the process raise vital funds for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation.

Three-year-old Tyler Morgan and Robert Fraser, four, were among the children at the nursery to say hello to Santa.

Santa and his grotto also visited children at the Royal Blind School yesterday.
