A TEN-year-old singing sensation has reached the area final of a national singing competition – Open Mic UK.
Saskia Eng is now the youngest person from Scotland remaining in the competition and will battle it out with other finalists in Manchester on December 4.
Saskia, from Balgreen, reached the final 200 of Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year from an initial 100,000 hopefuls, and was tipped for stardom by judge David Hasselhoff.
The Balgreen Primary pupil has only been singing for a year. Open Mic UK searches for Britain’s best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists who can perform cover versions or their own songs.
Competitors are given the opportunity to perform live in front of large audiences.
