AN Edinburgh bakery has revealed the results of its independence cake referendum.

Cuckoo’s Bakery had asked customers to choose one of three cupcakes to indicate how they planned to vote in September.

It produced three cakes - one with a Saltire, another with a Union Jack and a third for undecided voters.

The results show 29 per cent of shoppers went for Yes cakes, 51 per cent for No, while 20 per cent went for the cake showing they were still undecided.

Co-owner Graham Savage said the exercise was excellent for creating a debate between themselves and customers
