SCOTS are split 48-48 on independence with four per cent undecided, a new poll shows.

The Survation survey also found new SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon has 56 per cent trust rating – higher than predecessor Alex Salmond on 50 per cent.

New Labour leader Jim Murphy is trusted by 39 per cent, the Lib Dems’ Willie Rennie by 25 per cent and Tory Ruth Davidson by 31 per cent.

UK Tory and Labour leaders David Cameron and Ed Miliband were tied with trust ratings of 32 per cent.
