A BABY whose body was found in bushes next to Seafield Crematorium seven months ago has still not been identified.

The death of the six-week-old newborn has not been registered as detectives struggle to piece together who the little boy was and how he died.

A bid to trace his family through DNA has also failed after being run through the police national criminal database.

The baby’s body was discovered by a dog walker in undergrowth next to Restalrig Path at around 5pm on July 28.

He was found with a Primark blanket featuring a distinctive image of an elephant with a balloon tied to its trunk.
