Seven pubs across the city are gearing up to host a beer festival showcasing real ales from around the world.
The festival will run from Wednesday until Sunday, November 11 with all beers priced from £1.79 to £1.99 a pint.
Up to 50 real ales, including ten from countries such as Japan, Lithuania, Holland, Australia, Canada, Italy, the US and Belgium, will be available to sample in The Standing Order and The Alexander Graham Bell, both in George Street.
The Playfair in Omni Centre, The White Lady in St John’s Road, Corstorphine, The Foot of the Walk in Constitution Street, Leith, The Blacksmith’s Forge in Newmills Road, Dalkeith and The James Young in Hopetoun Street, Bathgate, are also host venues for the festival.
Speciality beers from the UK, with ingredients including heather, grapefruit and elderberries, as well as beers brewed exclusively for the pubs, will also delight punters.
Archie Denny, manager at The Standing Order, said: “We will be serving the largest selection of overseas beers ever available in the pub, together with a fantastic range of UK beers.
“Many of the beers on offer have not been available in the pub beforehand and I am looking forward to serving them.
