THREE sexual crimes were committed by people already on the sex offenders’ register in the Lothians over a three-month period.
The alleged offences were recorded between April and June from among the 533 registered sex offenders living in the area.
Meanwhile, police said they were monitoring 89 registered sex offenders in the Lothians deemed to be at a “high risk” of re-offending.
Official figures showed officers were also watching four other offenders who were considered to be “very high risk”.
Along with the high-risk cases, 235 were deemed “medium risk” while 200 were “low risk”.
