VOLUNTEERS are being sought to offer vulnerable adults a bed in their homes as part of a new project.
The ‘SharedLives’ scheme recruits carers for long and short-term lets to help assist people unable to live independently.
Councillor Ricky Henderson, health convener, said: “This council is committed to ensuring Edinburgh is well cared for and adults with learning difficulties are often among our most vulnerable citizens. Carers can be single, couples or families with children.”
An information day is being held at City Chambers on April 10 from 10am to 1pm.
