Have your say

A BASKING shark spotted around eight miles from the East Lothian coast was caught on camera by Evening News readers Graeme Carlyle and John Tait when they were out on their boat.

Graeme, who described the incident as a “once in a lifetime experience”, said the shark circled their 16-foot vessel for “at least an hour” and brushed the boat three or four times.

Graeme Carlyle here. I got your address from John Tait who was on my boat when we saw the shark approx 8 miles north east of Dunbar harbour. I've gave you the u-tube links below, hopefully you can access them ok. The language is a bit colourful but you will understand this is a once in a lifetime experience. The shark circled the boat for at least an hour ( boat was 16ft long) and was not fazed at all and infact more or less brushed past the hull 3 or 4 times as you will see from the video's. these were taken from an i-phone but are great quality. Feel free to call or e-mail your thoughts. 'Regards Graeme tel 07968133558'''http://youtu.be/gznakMluK1k'''http://youtu.be/suUneqFHJA8
