A SHOPLIFTER lined a ‘Bag for Life’ with tin foil to steal vodka and perfume from a superstore.
But security guards monitored Luke McKillop on CCTV as he switched two bottles of spirits and two bottles of perfume from his shopping trolley to the bag at Asda in Livingston.
He then walked through the security barrier with the goods worth £110 in his specially converted shopping bag without setting off the alarm, Livingston Sheriff Court was told.
But other guards were waiting for McKillop outside. They stopped him with the stolen items and called police.
McKillop, 27, from Livingston, today pleaded guilty to shoplifting and going to the superstore equipped for theft on November 17.
McKillop, who has convictions for armed robbery and housebreaking, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced later.
