RACING legend Sir Jackie Stewart will speak at an event for start-up companies from informatics and computer science departments at universities in Edinburgh.
Eight spin-outs will also be selected as part of EIE’12 to pitch to serial entrepreneurs in a Dragons’ Den-style format. The event will take place at Edinburgh’s Informatics Forum on Crichton Street, on Thursday, May 10.
Formula One icon Sir Jackie will be the keynote speaker, with Deborah Magid, director of software strategy at IBM Venture Capital Group, also talking.
Colin Adams, director of Informatics Ventures, said: “The event provides a unique platform for leading computer science and informatics enterprises to engage with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.”
