RESIDENts living in part of an Edinburgh nursing home had to be moved last night after the building filled with smoke.

The smoke entered Trinity House Nursing Home from a nearby rubbish fire.

It is understood the smoke came from a pile of rubbish burning near the home in Spring Gardens.

All 35 residents were moved to safety.
