A DOG whose supersized ears have earned him the nickname ‘Spock’ is on the hunt for a new home.

Staff at Dogs Trust West Calder are appealing for a home for Maxwell, a two year old Terrier cross.

His unusual appearance has earned him the nickname ‘Spock’ but whilst his supersize ears have been the talk of the centre, they haven’t helped him sound out a new home yet.

Spock is now hoping that an enterprising new owner will come forward to help him live long and prosper.

Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming Centre Manager, Susan Tonner, says: “Spock is on the lookout for a home to call his own. Staff and visitors alike have commented on his striking appearance and we are hoping that all this attention will result in a new home.

“Spock would be best suited to a quiet, adult home. He is a friendly boy who loves going for walks in the woods and playing with his favourite toys. Spock will need understanding and patient owners who will allow him the time to settle into a new routine. He can take a little extra time to get to know new people but when he does, he will make a sweet and loyal companion in the right home”.
