A NEW state-of-the art library opens in the Lothians on Monday.
The Lasswade Centre facility will replace Bonnyrigg Library, which closed in June.
It is a combined school and public library – a first for Midlothian – and will be home to three self-issue machines allowing books to be borrowed quickly without queueing.
A spokeswoman for Midlothian Council said: “I would urge people to get down to the new library and see all the exciting things which are taking place in the library Service.”
