SUMMER school places are still available for the final week of activities at the newly-opened Bangholm Outdoor Centre in north Edinburgh.
Mountain biking and rock climbing are among the activities planned for next week, costing around £20.
Organised by the council’s Sports and Outdoor Education Unit, the sessions are run by qualified instructors in the city and groups venture out each day to other venues, including Rosyth Quarry.
The city’s education convener Paul Godzik said: “This is a great opportunity for children on their summer holidays to experience something new. There are some places still available on our mountain biking and rock climbing days so get in quick if your children are thrill-seeking or even just a bit bored.”
