SUNSHINE On Leith tops the shortlist at Scotland’s Baftas being held tonight.
The musical based on the Proclaimers’ hits is nominated in categories including best actor in a film for Peter Mullan, two nominations for Jane Horrocks and Freya Mavor as best actress and best feature film.
James McAvoy is also nominated for best actor for his performance in the film adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s novel Filth.
The Edinburgh-based movie itself is also on the best feature film shortlist.
Prizes will be handed out during a ceremony in Glasgow on Sunday night.
Bafta Scotland director Jude MacLaverty said: “We are extremely proud to be celebrating the work of such prestigious names in the television, film and broadcasting industries.
“Along with the high calibre of nominees, this year’s British Academy Scotland Awards are gearing up to be our biggest and best yet.”
