SINGING sensation Susan Boyle has revealed what she’ll be giving up for Lent this year – chocolate.
The Britain’s Got Talent star, from Blackburn in West Lothian, will be resisting the sweet treat to raise awareness of a charity.
She’s backing the Scottish International Aid Fund’s Wee Box appeal, which was set up to help some of the poorest families across the world.
Others who have signed up for this year’s appeal including Muirhouse born Scotland manager Gordon Strachan, Commonwealth Games boxer Charlie Flynn and Deacon Blue frontman Ricky Ross.
SuBo said: “I have been supporting SCIAF all my life because I know they help the poorest of the poor to have food and support themselves.
“This year, every donation to the Wee Box appeal is being doubled by the UK Government, so I hope everyone will put out all the stops to help.”
SuBo shot to fame in 2009 when she finished as runner-up in Britain’s Got Talent.
