STUDENT journalists are to offer a 24-hour radio broadcast on the best of the Festival today to raise money for charity.
The Fresh Fringe station, run by students based in the Capital, will feature interviews, live performances, games, and competitions to raise money for Waverley Care, which supports people and families affected by HIV and Hepatitis C.
Featured guests on today’s show from the Pleasance Courtyard include comedians Michael Winslow and Josie Long, and award-winning acoustic guitarist Antonio Forcione.
Fresh Fringe manager Christian Illingworth said: “This is a rare opportunity to combine the creativity of student radio with the cultural richness of the Fringe whilst raising money for an excellent cause at the same time.
“Everyone at Fresh Fringe is very excited.”
