A GROUP of teenage girls have been arrested after four police officers were assaulted in Armadale after responding to a call about anti-social behaviour.

It is understood the officers had been called to an address on Birkenshaw Way around 11.40pm on Monday following reports of a disturbance in the area, that had resulted in vandalism to nearby properties. While on the scene, the four officers were assaulted and received minor injuries. A police spokesman said three 17 year-old girls and one 16 year-old girl were arrested and charged over the incident.
