THE Capital office of a major construction engineering firm is to participate in the revamp of one of Scotland’s biggest theatres.

Max Fordham, which has bases across the UK, will help with the £11.5 million redevelopment of Glasgow’s Theatre Royal, which has been owned by Scottish Opera since 1974.

Alex Reedijk, general director of Scottish Opera, said: “Our vision is to open up the theatre to become a social hub – somewhere people can gather for great coffee, outstanding performances and discover the heritage of this theatre.”
