The new-look West Lothian Festival of Brass has been hailed as a success by organisers.
The event, which only lasted one day this year, took place at the Howden Park Centre in Livingston.
Six of the country’s best brass bands battled it out for the honours.
The Co-operative Funeralcare Band, from Glasgow, took home the top prize of the challenge trophy.
Depute council leader Cathy Muldoon, who presented the prizes, said: “The festival saw some excellent performances from some of the top brass bands in the country, which made the judges’ job of picking winners very difficult.”
