TOUR operators have landed a funding boost from the national tourism body.
Almost £6000 from VisitScotland will be spent to attract more coach tours to West Lothian.
James Bailey, chair for Visit West Lothian, said the cash would bring more visitors to the area.
He said: “This is a welcome boost for West Lothian’s growing tourism industry, helping us to build on the success we have achieved to date and entice more visitors into the area to stay longer and explore the vast range of attractions we boast.
“In this tough economic climate it’s important we work together in order to pack a bigger punch in what is an extremely competitive market.
“This will allow us to ensure West Lothian remains on the map as a popular visitor destination with coach tour operators.”
