ORGANISERS of the rapidly growing Trad on the Tyne festival are claiming this year’s will be the “best ever” after announcing the list of performers that will headline the event.
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Donnie Munro, Jeana Leslie and Siobhan Miller, and The Outside Track are among the big names that have signed up to perform at the weekend festival in Haddington.
The festival’s honorary president, Ian Green, said: “We wanted the highest quality and we wanted a good balance and variety across the main concerts so that we could reach a wide audience.
“We hope that folk will come along and enjoy great music and great entertainment.”
This year will feature a festival ceilidh for the first time as well as pipe bands, come-and-try classes, workshops, open stage, and late-night sessions from August 30 to September 1.
