Tram services in the city centre have been affected due to a broken down car on the line.
The breakdown on South St David’s Street took place just after 10am, with trams not stopping at Princes Street, St Andrew Square and York Place.
A council breakdown lorry was been sent to remove the car, a Transport for Edinburgh spokeswoman said.
Trams were running between the airport and Shandwick Place - the last point on the line that services can change direction.
The car was cleared from the line just after 11am and tram operators thanked passengers for their patience and said it could take time to get back to the timetable.
