ONE thousand tickets offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance to climb to the top of the Forth Road Bridge will go on sale on Wednesday.
Demand will be high for the tower-top trips in July and August next year in the lead-up to the Forth Bridges Festival.
Tickets go on sale from 1pm and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis at a cost of £120 each.
Those who snare tickets will get to climb 156 metres above the Firth of Forth by lift and ladder to get stunning panoramic views.
Up to 12 tickets can be bought by each customer. The sale follows a public ballot run for residents in the EH and KY postcodes earlier this month.
Homecoming Scotland 2014 director Caroline Packman said: “What better way to celebrate this special year than to take in the view, standing at the top of one of Scotland’s best-loved icons.
“This will be an unforgettable experience for those lucky enough to get the chance.”
