POLICE are appealing after a cyclist was knocked from his bike in rush hour traffic.

The 25-year-old man was hit by a car on Marionville Road shortly before 9am this morning

Firefighters from Marionville and MacDonald Road raced to the scene to find the man and his bicycle had become trapped beneath the car.

Airbags were used to release him and he was treated at the scene for his injuries but did not require further hospital treatment.

Police Scotland are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to get in touch on 101, or make an anonymous report through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
