A driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on Queensferry Road this morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a Vauxhall Corsa travelling northwards on Drumbrae North collided with a wall at around 3.15am.

The 18-year-old driver of the car sustained serious injuries and was transferred to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he is in a stable condition.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
