A FLIGHT from Edinburgh Airport was delayed moments before take-off when a member of the cabin crew collapsed while giving a safety briefing.
Flybe flight BE296 was about to depart for Manchester at 6.30pm yesterday when the woman collapsed as she gave the briefing to passengers.
The pilot aborted take-off and taxied back to the terminal where medics boarded the plane to treat her.
The drama meant the flight was delayed while the airline arranged a replacement.
The plane landed in Manchester nearly two hours late.
A Flybe spokesman said: “Flybe can confirm that flight BE296 from Edinburgh to Manchester was delayed this evening due to a member taken ill prior to the flights departure.
“We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.”
