A MAN has been arrested after causing a disturbance on an Edinburgh train this morning.

British Transport Police removed the man, who was aged in his 30s, from the 6.33am Edinburgh Waverley to Dunblane service after he allegedly abused a member of staff.

The incident forced service operator ScotRail to suspend the train for up to half an hour. The service was stopped between Waverley and Haymarket stations.

A BTP spokesman said the man had been taken into custody.
