A man has been arrested after a YouTube video appearing to show an Edinburgh city centre commuter at the wheel while eating cereal went viral.

The cyclist who recorded the footage on his head cam can be heard shouting at the driver of the grey Vauxhall Corsa as he passes by.

Motorists caught eating behind the wheel in Scotland can be fined of £90 and given three points on their licence.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A 26-year-old man has been charged with an alleged driving offence and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
