A Man has been killed after being struck by a train near the Craigentinny depot.

Delays of up to an hour are to be expected on East Coast services between Edinburgh and Dunbar following the incident at 12.30pm.

Workers are currently removing the body of the man, aged between 30 and 40 years old, from the tracks.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “We can confirm that a man was struck by a train near Craigentinny depot shortly after 12.30pm.

“It would appear to be a non-suspicious incident.”
