Maybury has reopened after a serious four-car crash which closed two roads early this morning.

A person has been taken to hospital after the crash near the Maybury roundabout.

The incident happened at around 8.20am this morning.

Emergency services are in attendance and Craigs Road and Maybury Drive had been closed.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to cut out one woman from a car.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Edinburgh responded to the Maybury Road following a five-vehicle collision that happened around 8.20am on Tuesday 27th January.

“The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service are also in attendance, and one person has been taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
