BOYBAND One Direction pose the next big test for the tram line tonight.
Hordes of screaming fans are set to descend on the stadium tram stop for the Murrayfield gig.
Tram chiefs have drawn up a detailed contingency plan.
Extra trams and ticketing services assistants with handheld machines will be drafted in, while tram frequency at city centre stops will be increased to every five minutes.
Lessons learned from the 1000-volunteer Exercise Salvador held in March to test the stop will also be put into effect.
Haymarket Terrace, West Approach Road and Roseburn Terrace will close for an hour from 10.15pm.
Roseburn Street will be closed from 10am until 11.15pm.
