Princes St reopens after collision between cyclist and car

PART of The Mound and Princes Street were closed off earlier today after a collision between a cyclist and a car.

Emergency services were called out at 11.20am after the collision between the cyclist and a Ford Fiesta.

The cyclist received injuries to his body, which are not thought to be serious.

He has been taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he is now receiving treatment.

Police have confirmed that The Mound and the area of Princes Street affected have now re-opened to traffic.
