RYANAIR is to cut two routes from Edinburgh Airport, forcing passengers to cancel trips or rebook with other airlines.
The no-frills carrier will not fly from the Capital to Barcelona or Stockholm from next month.
It is thought the decision to abandon the routes, which Ryanair operated last winter, was taken because of rising fuel costs and a dip in bookings.
The airport said it regretted the decision, but was in talks with other airlines about picking up the routes.
Ryanair declined to say how many people had booked flights, but one passenger said the airline’s move was likely to “ruin many passengers’ holidays” because they would be forced to rearrange plans.
