Train drivers in Scotland may refuse to work on Sundays in a
dispute over pay.

Train drivers union Aslef is to ballot ScotRail members about an overtime ban as they continue to fight for improved basic wages.

They have rejected the company’s last offer of a 6.4 per cent pay rise and are now looking at options for
industrial action short of a strike.

Aslef said the company’s drivers were “fed up” of being among the poorest paid in the industry, although ScotRail said its most recent pay offer would have seen the basic pay for drivers rise to £42,000 a year, and called for talks over an agreement to resume.
