A MAJOR road in Cameron Toll has been shut after a lorry collided with a bridge.
The vehicle was heading onto Old Dalkeith Road when it hit the railway bridge on the main Cameron Toll roundabout about 2pm.
The high lorry became wedged under the 4.5m bridge.
Police have been forced to close part of the roundabout, with traffic banking up along Old Dalkeith Road.
No-one was injured in the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said the collision had caused disruption, but had not damaged the bridge itself. Network Rail staff are also at the scene and are assessing whether to close the section of rail line.
