Two men have been taken to hospital following a road crash.

The two-car collision took place between West Binny Farm and Bankhead Farm in Dechmont, West Lothian, at around 7.30pm yesterday evening.

Fire crews used hydraulic cutting gear to free the drivers, who were both taken to the ERI by ambulance.

A police spokesman said there was extensive damage to both vehicles - a Fiat Stilo and Vauxhall Vectra - but that the men’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing, he added.
