POLICE are investigating after two cars were stolen from a driveway in Musselburgh.

A group of four men broke into a house in Carberry Road around 2pm on Monday and stole the keys to a black Audi and red Mercedes, both of which were parked outside.

They made off in both vehicles towards Whitecraig roundabout. All the suspects are described as in their early 20s, white and all wore dark clothing.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: “This was a brazen theft carried out in the middle of the day, and we are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

“In particular, we want to speak to anyone who may have seen a group of men acting suspiciously in the area prior to the incident, likewise anyone who noticed the black Audi or red Mercedes being driven away from the scene.

“Anyone else who has any other information that can assist our inquiries should also get in touch.”
