TWO men have been rescued from a fire in a high rise flat.

Firefighters were called to the blaze on the 12th floor of Cobbinshaw House, Calder Gardens, Sighthill at around 8.45pm on February 23.

Crews from Tollcross, Sighthill, Crewe Toll and Livingston attended and prevented the fire from spreading onto the roof.

Two male casualties were rescued from the property and treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

One of the men was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

An investigation is now underway to establish the cause of the incident.
