Two taken to hospital after Tranent crash

Two people had to be taken to hospital after a crash in the early hours of the morning.

The man and woman were injured after two cars collided on Ormiston Road in Tranent at around 3am.

It is understood that ambulance staff took the pair to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment. There was no indication of how serious their injuries are.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue service said crews from Tranent and Musselburgh attended the accident and administered first aid on scene.
