FORMER Hibs star Leigh Griffiths has been filmed mocking cash-strapped rivals Hearts in a pub ahead of yesterday’s derby.
Hibs fans in the Roseburn bar cheered as Griffiths joined in chants of “Hearts are going bust”.
A 42-second Facebook clip shows the footballer in a grey hoodie and jeans standing on a chair with his arms raised as he sings.
One pub-goer was quoted saying: “The fans were encouraging him to join in with the singing.
“To be honest, he didn’t need much encouraging and was soon on his feet. Everyone thought it was hilarious, but I’m sure the Hearts fans won’t be laughing.”
Griffiths, who now plays for Celtic, later said: “It was football banter. I apologise if any offence was caused.”
Hearts’ 2-0 victory meant they avoided being relegated at the hands of their arch rivals.
Four arrests were made inside the stadium.
