A WOMAN who died after her car crashed into a wall has been named by police as Susanne Lumsden.
The 38-year-old, from the city’s Hyvot Grove, was killed when her car hit a wall in Gilmerton Road at around 6pm on Monday.
Firefighters freed her from her red Vauxhall Astra but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses described hearing a “terrible bang” as the car ploughed through a garden wall into the driveway of the property.
The boot of the crashed car had sprung open while the parcel shelf had been thrown from the vehicle.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
