A warning has been issued to householders in East Lothian after a number of properties were broken into.

The incidents happened between lunchtime on Thursday and Friday evening, at unoccupied properties in Longniddry, Gullane and North Berwick.

A quantity of jewellery and a sum of money were taken during the first break in at a house in Douglas Road, Longniddry between 10pm on Thursday and 8am on Friday.

Between 1.00pm on Thursday and 11am on Friday a property in High Street, North Berwick was broken into. Little of value was taken but every room was disturbed.

More jewellery was stolen during the third incident at a property in Whin Road, Gullane which was unoccupied between Thursday afternoon and Friday evening

Officers are carrying out local inquiries into these incidents are anyone who can help with their investigations is asked to come forward or call 101 with information
