A FIVE-YEAR plan to deliver affordable housing across West Lothian is to be rolled out.
A total of 800 council homes would be built for rent by 2014-15 under the ambitious programme. The construction of a further 1000 would start next year.
Fifteen sites have been identified that could accommodate 320 homes. West Lothian’s council executive approved the 2013-18 strategic housing investment plan this week.
Executive councillor for community services George Paul said: “Our strong track record of delivering new homes will help us secure the additional funding support required to help meet the demand for affordable homes.”
