Woman, 95, dies in West Lothian flat fire

A 95-year-old woman has died after fire at a flat in Torphichen, West Lothian.

The fire service was called to the home in Greenside in Torphichen village at around 7.35pm last night.

Six firefighters tackled the fire but the pensioner was declared dead at the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal, police say.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
